People email us every day complaining about outdated information in the app. Or that we don’t know about the new local happy hour in their neighborhood.

For every one person who emails us there are probably 99 more who are equally disappointed but don’t bother taking the time to write us. For those of you who have written us, we hear you, we thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry we don’t always have the time to write back.

We started Happy Hour Finder with the idea that we would sell advertising to business owners to promote their bar or restaurant in our app. Well.. It turns out these business owners are sick and tired of companies (like us) asking them for money to advertise, and they don't want to pay. It’s a bad business model for us.

And that got us thinking “Who the hell are we making this app for anyway?” We’re making this app for YOU, the customer, who just wants to find a chill happy hour to hang out at with a few friends and get some cheap eats and drinks.

We want to make the best Happy Hour Finder we can! But it’s hard, because we were literally earning about $100 a month through banner ads on the website and in the app. That’s enough to keep our servers running, and nothing more. We work day jobs, lead busy lives like everyone else, and don’t have nearly enough free time to put in the work to keep the Happy Hour Finder database updated.

We need your help 

Happy Hour Finder is free (and ad-free) and will take hundreds of hours a month to sustain. If you find any value in an accurate database of all local happy hours, please consider supporting with a recurring monthly donation of your choosing. It can be $3, $7, or $15 a month.

Our Goal: We want to get to 1,000 supporters by June 1st. We will be transparent and report regular updates about how many people are supporting the project.
